Miranda, who is making his SNL hosting debut, will star in the forthcoming sequel to Mary Poppins, which is entitled Mary Poppins Returns. Miranda was recently in Chicago, where his Broadway hit Hamilton began performances September 27 at the The PrivateBank Theatre.
The pop duo Twenty One Pilots make their SNL debut alongside Miranda. The duo (Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun) recently made history becoming the first alternative group ever with two simultaneous singles in the top five on the Billboard Hot 100: "Ride," from their multi-platinum studio album Blurryface, and “Heathens,” from Suicide Squad: The Album.
SNL is created and executive-produced by Lorne Michaels.
