Off-Broadway’s Abingdon Theatre Company is set to honor Tony and Emmy Award-winning Broadway veteran Bebe Neuwirth (Chicago, Sweet Charity, Cheers) during its 25th anniversary gala, which is set to take place October 23 at the Edison Ballroom.
The evening will also include a performance of the Kander and Ebb revue And the World Goes ‘Round, featuring a cast of Broadway favorites: Tony Award nominee Brenda Braxton (Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Chicago), Olivier Award winner Ruthie Henshall (Crazy for You, Chicago), Tony Award winner Cady Huffman (The Producers, The Nance), Telly Leung (Aladdin, Allegiance), Kecia Lewis (Once On This Island, Ain’t Misbehavin’), Bianca Marroquin (Chicago, In the Heights), Drama Desk Award nominee Julia Murney (The Wild Party, Wicked), two-time Tony Award nominee Mary Beth Peil (Anastasia, The Visit), and Angie Schworer (Something Rotten, The Producers).
