Garrett Clayton is set to star in the New York premiere of IT: A Musical Parody. The jukebox musical will run October 20-31 at Chelsea Table + Stage for 13 performances, including a special Halloween show.

Clayton, known for his screen roles in Teen Beach MovieThe Fosters, and Hairspray: Live, will return to play Pennywise, after having portrayed the character in the 2019 Los Angeles run. Clayton will star alongside Vanjah Boikai, E.K. Dagenfield, Trevin Goin, Gwen Hollander, Janaya Mahealani Jones, and Sterling Sulieman.

Based on the hit horror novel by Stephen King, the John Flynn-written musical takes place in Derry, Maine and follows seven young outcasts as they confront their worst nightmare, Pennywise, a shapeshifting evil clown. King's work was adapted into a cult classic film in 1990, featuring Rocky Horror Picture Show's Tim Curry as the titular antagonist, and then a two-part feature film remake, premiering in 2017 and 2019, respectively.

Nathan Moore will lead the creative team as director with choreography by Mallory Butcher, musical direction and arrangements by Gregory Nabours, production design by Chadd McMillan, and lighting design by Julien V. Elstob. Pablo Rossil and E.K. Dagenfield serve as executive producers for Rockwell Productions.
