Actor-singer Caissie Levy will use the layover between the Denver world premiere of the musical Frozen and the start of Broadway previews to perform a cabaret show at Feinstein's at the Nikko in San Francisco, California, for three performances, 8 PM November 16, 17 and 18.
Making her San Francisco cabaret debut, Levy, who plays Elsa in the new Disney musical, will perform “fresh takes on songs from throughout her celebrated Broadway career, as well as share stories from her life on (and off) the stage.”
Previews for Frozen begin February 22, 2018, at the St. James Theatre.
Watch Levy sing a mashup of the Beatles’ “Let It Be” and the Oscar-winning Frozen song “Let It Go,” the latter of which she will sing in the Broadway musical:
On Broadway, Levy played Fantine in the 2014 revival of Les Misérables, and originated the roles of Molly in Ghost and Sheila in the Tony Award-winning 2009 revival of Hair. Other Broadway credits include Elphaba in the Broadway and Los Angeles productions of Wicked, Penny in the Broadway and national touring companies of Hairspray, and Maureen in a national tour of Rent. Off-Broadway, she played Patti Davis and Julie Nixon in the 2015 world premiere production of Michael John LaChiusa’s musical First Daughter Suite.
