Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera opened January 26, 1988 at the Majestic Theatre starring Michael Crawford, Sarah Brightman, and Steve Barton. 30 years later, the production is making history as the first show to celebrate a 30th anniversary on Broadway.
Phantom enters its fourth decade having played 12,500 performances to 18 million people at The Majestic and having grossed more than $1.1 billion.
