The West End engagement of Matthew Lopez’s The Inheritance, which premiered at the Young Vic earlier this year, began performances September 21 at the Noël Coward Theatre, where it will officially open October 13.
The ensemble cast is comprised of Vanessa Redgrave, John Benjamin Hickey, Hugo Bolton, Robert Boulter, Andrew Burnap, Hubert Burton, Paul Hilton, Samuel H. Levine, Syrus Lowe, Michael Marcus, Jack Riddiford, Kyle Soller, and Michael Walters.

The two-part play, directed by Stephen Daldry, is set in New York City a generation after the HIV/AIDS crisis of the '80s and '90s, as a group of gay men struggle to connect to the past and maintain a sense of history.
The production features design by Bob Crowley, lighting by Jon Clark, sound by Paul Arditti and Christopher Reid, music by Paul English, U.K. casting by Julia Horan CDG, and U.S. casting by Jordan Thaler CSA and Heidi Griffiths CSA.
