98º star Drew Lachey and wife Lea Lachey are previewing their new musical label•less in a tour of one-night-only performances culminating at New York City's Theatre Row November 20.
The musical is inspired by an empathy exercise both Lacheys led at a 2018 theatre class. The work features a diverse cast of 17-27 year-olds telling true stories combined with evocative choreography and contemporary music. Both Lacheys say the musical is part of their larger movement, an effort to spread "heart, humanity, and hope."
"Of all the things that have happened in my career, none have been as impactful on my life as being a part of label•less," says Drew in a statement. "Being able to tell these stories of love, loss, heartbreak, and triumph has changed me and I feel has the power to change the world."
The musical has been playing a tour of one-night-only preview performances that began last month. The upcoming NYC performance will be the culmination of that tour.
Along with his boy band background, Lachey previously appeared on Broadway in the original productions of Rent and Spamalot.
