Drew Gehling, who originated the role of Dr. Pomatter in Broadway’s Waitress, reprises his performance at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre beginning August 28.
Gehling has returned to the show multiple times since initially leaving in March 2017. He most recently departed the production to headline the world premiere of the musical adaptation of Dave at Washington, D.C.’s Arena Stage. His additional credits include Broadway's Jersey Boys and On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, as well as the world premiere of the Roman Holiday musical.
Madam Secretary alum Erich Bergen made his Broadway debut as Dr. Pomatter this summer, taking his final bow August 12.
The current company also includes Stephanie Torns, who fills in as Jenna before Nicolette Robinson begins performances September 4, Katie Lowes as Dawn, Adam Shapiro as Ogie, NaTasha Yvette Williams as Becky, Ben Thompson as Earl, Benny Elledge as Cal, and Bill Nolte as Joe.
