Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has set dates for its previously announced West Coast premiere. Performances will begin October 23 at San Francisco’s Curran, with an opening night set for December 1.

Tickets will go on sale to the public March 14. Registration for priority access, beginning March 11, is now open through March 3 at HarryPotterthePlay.com.

After premiering in London's West End in 2016, the play, featuring a script by Jack Thorne and based on an original story by Thorne, director John Tiffany, and series creator J.K. Rowling, opened on Broadway in April last year, going on to win six Tony Awards including Best Play.

Casting for the California bow will be announced at a later date.

The two-part play continues to play London’s Palace Theatre, New York’s Lyric Theatre, and Melbourne, Australia’s Princess Theatre; a German-language staging will open in Hamburg this spring.
