The Jimmy Awards are approaching their 15th year anniversary, and plans for a celebration are underway at 54 Below.
Otherwise known at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, the Jimmy Awards celebrate the creative artistry of high school theatremakers, inviting nominated artists to perform on a Broadway stage to compete for educational scholarships, as well as participate in training and coaching sessions with Broadway's best.
In celebration of the awards anniversary, 54 Below will stage two concerts January 29 featuring 15 alumni (to be announced) from the awards. Previous Jimmy Awards finalists and winners have included Justin Cooley, Casey Likes, Andrew Barth Feldman, Reneé Rapp, Antonio Cipriano, Eva Noblezada, Stephenie Styles, Kyle Selig, Jai'Len Christine Li Josey, and Ryan McCarten, who have all gone on to become Broadway stars in their own right.
