Chuck Wagner, who originated the role of Rapunzel's Prince in the Sondheim-Lapine musical Into the Woods and who has been playing the Beast in the Toronto production of Beauty and the Beast for a year, will assume the role of Broadway's Beast starting Jan. 30.
Wagner's other Broadway credits include a hitch as Javert in Les Miserables and stints understudying both the Beast and Gaston in the Broadway B&B.
