On July 12, Paul Taylor Dance Company returns to Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival in Becket, Massachusetts. The world-renowned choreographer is part of a lineup celebrating the festival’s 85th anniversary season.

Known as the mecca of dance, the festival—which kicked off June 17—runs through August 27 and features work by both established and promising dancers.

Also premiering tonight, Israeli dance company Roy Assaf Dance makes its U.S. debut. Seasoned companies like Miami City Ballet and Ballet Hispánico are on the roster this summer, but most exciting for theatre fans is the upcoming engagement for Camille A. Brown.

Brown is set to choreograph the highly anticipated revival of Once On This Island, coming to Broadway’s Circle in the Square Theatre this fall. A Jacob’s Pillow Dance award winner, Brown and her dancers will present BLACK GIRL: Linguistic Play August 9–13.

A 220-acre National Historic Landmark, Jacob’s Pillow advocates the “creation, presentation, education, and preservation of dance“ through its school, awards, and annual festival.
