Joining the "Pretty in Pink" and Cabaret star will be Adam Perry, Ben Cameron, Amanda Watkins (as Nickie), Kisha Howard (as Helene), Richard Ruiz (as Herman), Angel Reda, Aaron Ramey (as Vittorio), Nova Bergeron, Kathryn Mowat Murphy, Guy Adkins (as Oscar), David Glaspie (as Daddy), Angel Reda, Laquet Sharnell, Colin Cunliffe, Keven Quillon, Sae La Chin, Rhea Patterson, Tonya Wathen, Nova Bergeron and Merrit Tyler Hawkins. The tour, based on the Walter Bobbie Broadway production that starred Christina Applegate, will launch on Sept. 12 at San Diego's Civic Theatre.
Other cities include Los Angeles, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, Denver, Memphis, Buffalo, Atlanta, Houston and Dallas.
Ringwald has appeared on Broadway in Cabaret and Off-Broadway in tick,tick...BOOM!, as well as in the plays Enchanted April, Modern Orthodox and How I Learned to Drive. She is well known from such films as "Pretty in Pink," "Sixteen Candles" and "The Breakfast Club."
The revival closed on Broadway on Dec. 31, 2005. The show was nominated for Best Revival of a Musical Tony Award. Applegate and choreographer Wayne Cilento were also nominated.
