Broadway News Broadway’s Bandstand Will Return to Movie Theatres The musical starring Corey Cott and Laura Osnes will hit the big screen once again.

In honor of Veterans Day, Fathom Events and Sing Out, Louise! Productions will present encore screenings of Broadway’s Bandstand in movie theatres nationwide November 15 and 19.

After a successful cinematic release this past summer—in which many U.S. cinemas sold out screenings—Bandstand: The Broadway Musical On Screen will play in 400 theatres once more.

Written by Robert Taylor and Richard Oberacker and directed and choreographed by three-time Tony winner Andy Blankenbuehler, the musical stars Corey Cott as Donny Novitski and Laura Osnes as Julia Trojan. When Donny comes home from the front lines of World War II, he tries to return to his life as a songwriter. When NBC announces a national contest to find the next superstars to hit the bandstand, Donny recruits fellow veteran musicians and the Gold Star widow of his buddy to form the Donny Nova Band and heal through their music.
