A new partnership between London's National Theatre and Cutting Edge Media Music, parent company to Broadway Records, will see the theatrical label releasing albums of the National's productions.
The label already released an album of The Lehman Trilogy with music by Nick Powell, following the production's London and Broadway runs. Upcoming albums through the partnership include Hex, a new musical based on Sleeping Beauty with music by Jim Fortune; All Kinds of Limbo, inspired by the National's Small Island, and featuring music by Nubiya Brandon and Raffy Bushman; and Trouble in Mind, with music also by Brandon and Bushman.

"This partnership with Cutting Edge marks the start of an exciting new chapter for music at the National Theatre," says National Theatre Director Rufus Norris. "This collaboration will allow us to release and publish music in a state-of-the-art way and give audiences worldwide access to the brilliant music of the many composers and musicians we work with. I’m delighted that Hex will be one of the first releases, and I am looking forward to many more projects to come."
The partnership will also see Cutting Edge providing the National with operational resources from their New York, London, and Los Angeles' offices, along with administering their future music publishing rights.
