Billy Porter had nothing to do but relax during the 2019 Tony Awards, or so he thought. During a commercial break host James Corden enlisted the Kinky Books Tony winner to partake in a karaoke rendition of “Everything’s Coming Up Roses” from Gypsy.
Porter was more than game, getting started before the keyboardist even played a note. Halfway through (after joking, “You’re going to make me do the whole thing?!”), Porter took to the Radio City Music Hall stage, ending with a standing ovation.
