Betsy Wolfe, who joined the cast of the critically acclaimed Sara Bareilles musical Waitress June 13, will play her final performance in the production at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre January 9, 2018.
Wolfe, who was also recently seen in the revival of Falsettos, announced the news on Twitter, writing, “My final 7 weeks at the beloved Diner have begun! I’m ending a couple of days earlier on Jan 9th to headline @seattlesymphony concerts w/@JeremyMJordan Jan.12-14.”
An official announcement for Wolfe's departure or replacement has yet to be made.
Wolfe's additional New York credits include Bullets Over Broadway, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Everyday Rapture, 110 in the Shade, and The Last Five Years.
In Waitress, Wolfe currently co-stars opposite Grammy Award winner Jason Mraz, who took his first Broadway bow November 3. The singer-songwriter plays Dr. Pomatter, the new-to-town gynecologist who offers local diner employee and baker Jenna Hunterson (Wolfe) an escape from her abusive marriage. Mraz is playing a ten-week limited engagement.
