Two River Theater will present two concerts with three-time Tony honoree Bernadette Peters this fall.

Peters—who is scheduled to return to Broadway later this season in the London hit Old Friends, celebrating the life and work of Stephen Sondheim—will perform November 8-9 in the Joan and Robert M. Rechnitz Theater in Red Bank, New Jersey.

"We are beyond thrilled to welcome the incomparable Bernadette Peters, a true theatrical giant, to Two River Theater," Managing Director Nora DeVeau-Rosen and Artistic Director Justin Waldman said in a joint statement. "Her presence and performance at our theater is a monumental event for us and the community we serve."

Peters received both Tony and Drama Desk Awards for her performance in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Song and Dance. She earned her second Tony for her work in Annie Get Your Gun. She also received Tony nominations for her performances in Sam Mendes’ critically acclaimed revival of Gypsy, Neil Simon’s The Goodbye Girl, Sondheim’s Pulitzer Prize-winning Sunday in the Park with George, the Jerry Herman-Gower Champion ode to the movies, Mack and Mabel, and the Leonard Bernstein-Comden and Green musical On the Town. She was last on Broadway in a critically acclaimed turn in the title role of Hello, Dolly! Peters is also the recipient of the 2012 Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award.

Peters, who has also garnered a Golden Globe, four Emmy and four Grammy nominations, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, has recorded six solo albums. She also devotes her time and talents to numerous events that benefit Broadway Cares. Her “pet project,” Broadway Barks, co-founded with Mary Tyler Moore, is an annual, star-studded dog and cat adoption event that benefits shelter animals in the tri-state area.
