Thomas Doherty, who starred in HBO Max's Gossip Girl reboot, made his New York stage debut as Seymour in the hit Off-Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors last month. The actor joined Emmy nominee Madeline Brewer (The Handmaid's Tale) who co-stars as Audrey and is also making her NYC stage debut.
The duo recently sat down with Playbill Social Media Director Jeffrey Vizcaíno to speak about their latest roles. Both chatted about the fast-paced rehearsal process, while Brewer spoke about the surprising similarities to playing Sally Bowles in London's Cabaret. Doherty said he's "always loved musical theatre. That's kind of like my first love. [Little Shop] is the very first show I ever did when I was nine or 10."
