According to his Instagram, Broadway actor Derek Klena is engaged to his longtime girlfriend Elycia Scriven.
Klena posted the news to social media October 1.
The actor made his Broadway debut as Fiyero in Wicked in 2013 and followed that up by originating the role of Michael in Jason Robert Brown’s The Bridges of Madison County. Currently, he stars as Dmitry in the stage adaptation of the animated movie Anastasia. Klena first broke through in Off-Broadway’s 2012 revival of Carrie, where he was quickly noticed and scooped up by Oscar and Tony winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul to originate the lead role of Eddie Birdlace in Dogfight.
