Boundless Theater will host an industry reading of a new play, Stranger Interludes, by David James Parr, November 18 at The Dramatists Guild Foundation.

Two-time Tony nominee Alison Fraser (First Daughter SuiteThe Divine Sister, The Secret Garden, Romance/Romance) will lead a cast also including Robbie Simpson (General Hospital), Patrick Ball, Brenna Palughi (A Time to Kill), James Wells, and Joleen Wilkinson. Amanda Bearse is directing with casting by Pat McCorkle.

Described in press notes as a "contemporary dark comedy" about "gender inclusivity, drug addiction, and mental health," Stranger Interludes centers on a "much-married would-be stage actress recently diagnosed with early dementia," her three children, a drifter with a secret past, and the mysterious young man hired to write the matriarch's memoir.

Parr's previous works include Slap & TicklePluto is ListeningAlbee DamnedEnough About Me, and Eleanor Rigby is Waiting, the latter of which was adapted for the screen in 2019 after premiering at NYC Fringe.
