News Airline Highway, Set in New Orleans Burlesque, Begins on Broadway Tonight Lisa D’Amour's Airline Highway, a story set in the world of New Orleans burlesque, begins performances on Broadway April 1 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.

The production, which previously played Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre, will officially open April 23.

Julie White to Drive Down Broadway Highway

Tony nominee K. Todd Freeman and other members of the Chicago company are again featured in the play. The cast includes Tony Award winner Julie White (The Little Dog Laughed, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike), Carolyn Braver, Scott Jaeck, Ken Marks, Caroline Neff, Tim Edward Rhoze, Judith Roberts, Joe Tippett, Todd d'Amour, Shannon Eagen, Venida Evans, Joe Forbrich, Leslie Hendrix, Sekou Laidlow and Toni Martin.

The Steppenwolf Theatre production is presented on Broadway by the Manhattan Theatre Club at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, with direction by Joe Mantello (Take Me Out, Assassins).

The creative team includes Scott Pask (scenic design), David Zinn (costume design), Japhy Weideman (lighting design), and Fitz Patton (original music and sound design).
