Broadway News Ainsley Melham and Mike Longo Join Broadway's Aladdin February 19 The two played appeared in the Disney musical in Australia and on tour, respectively.

Ainsley Melham takes on the title role in Disney's Aladdin beginning February 19 at the New Amsterdam Theatre. He makes his Broadway debut in the musical, having previously played the street urchin-turned-prince in his native Australia.

Also joining the Broadway company is Mike Longo, who assumes the role of Kassim, reprising his performance from the musical's national tour.

The two replace Telly Leung and Steel Burkhardt, respectively.

The current cast also includes recent addition Michael James Scott and Arielle Jacobs as the Genie and Jasmine, reuniting with Melham after sharing the stage in Australia. They are joined by Jonathan Freeman as Jafar, Brian Conzales as Babkak, Brad Weinstock as Omar, JC Montgomery as Sultan, and Don Darryl Rivera as Iago.

Aladdin, directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, celebrates its five-year anniversary on Broadway this year after opening March 20, 2014.
