Directed by Dwight McFee, the limited engagement continues through April 7.
Here's how the show is billed: "He was from a prominent Jewish family. He became a steroid-addicted bodybuilder, a male stripper and a stud for hire for men and women. The Underbelly Diaries is a frank, honest and funny look at Capitalism and the American dream personified."
Prior to New York, the solo show was seen in the Toronto Fringe Festival, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Following the Off-Broadway engagement, the production will tour Canada in 2012. The Underbelly Diaries is also being adapted into a feature film.
