A Look at School of Rock’s Anniversary Celebrations on Broadway

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock—The Musical celebrated two years on Broadway December 6 at the Winter Garden Theatre. The musical began previews November 9, 2015, ahead of an official opening night December 6.

Justin Collette currently stars as Dewey with Analisa Leaming as Principal Rosalie.

Based on the movie script by Mike White, School of Rock has a book by Julian Fellowes and direction by Laurence Connor. The stage musical features some songs from the film, with the rest of the score composed by Lloyd Webber (The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar), with lyrics by Glenn Slater (Sister Act, Love Never Dies).
