Alex Wyse, known for his appearances in Wicked and Spring Awakening, picked up an Indie Series Award April 4 for his work on the new web series Indoor Boys. The series was nominated for five awards in total.
Indoor Boys premiered in July of last year on HuffPost Queer Voices, and is co-created with fellow Broadway actor Wesley Taylor, who co-stars in the series about two gay roommates navigating life in Los Angeles.
Wyse earned the Indie Series Award for Best Lead Actor – Comedy, while Patrika Darbo won in the category of Best Guest Actress – Comedy for her appearance on the series.
Taylor and Wyse, who share writing and directing credit on the series, filmed eight episodes for the initial launch of Indoor Boys.
The ISAs celebrate the best in independently produced entertainment created for the web. The 9th annual ISA's were presented April 4 in Burbank, California.
