On November 25, the long-awaited reboot of Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino’s hit television comedy Gilmore Girls drops on Netflix. The four-part series is the holiday gift fans are most thankful for. Taking place over winter, spring, summer, and fall—a nod to theme song writer Carole King—the Netflix original is the final chapter in the story of mother-daughter best friends Lorelai and Rory Gilmore.
Musical theatre fans can rejoice, too, because Tony winners Sutton Foster and Christian Borle—Gilmore fans, themselves—appear in the “Summer” episode. The two play Violet and Carl, actors in town selectman Taylor Doose’s new musical The History of Stars Hollow: A Musical, which actually has songs by Tony winner Jeanine Tesori.
While on set in March of this year, Playbill.com talked to the Broadway veterans about what to expect from their characters this Thanksgiving.
