Entitled What in the World: The Newsical Revue, the show begins previews Jan. 9, 2004, at the John Houseman Studio Theatre with an official opening scheduled for Jan. 22. Directed by Collette Black, the collection of vignettes will take aim at Anna Nicole, Liza Minnelli, Rush Limbaugh, tax refunds, botox and Siegfried and Roy's tiger. The cast of What in the World features Eadie Scott, Christopher Regan, John Flynn and Kelly Howe. The creative team comprises John McMahon (musical director) and Jack Cragin (set and lighting design).
Rick Crom has appeared on Broadway in Urinetown, The Goodbye Girl and Footloose as well as the City Center Encores! productions of Fiorello and Li'l Abner. His Off-Broadway credits include Merrily We Roll Along and Das BarbecŸ. Crom is also a top N.Y.C. comedian and the songwriter of seven topical revues. He also wrote the score to Bonnie and Clyde, which features a book by Little Shop's Hunter Foster.
What in the World: The Newsical Revue will play Monday, Thursday and Friday evenings at 8 PM, Saturdays at 2 and 8 PM and Sundays at 3 PM.
