The new series from "Rescue Me" creators Dennis Leary and Peter Tolan is being developed by Sony Pictures TV and Leary's Apostle. Tolan will helm the pilot of the show that will be filmed in New York. Set at a Brooklyn precinct, the show is a crime drama and centers on the NYPD station where rookie and veteran cops are sent. The series is based on the real-life experiences of former NYPD cop Robert Cea.
Leary and Tolan also teamed on the ABC comedy "The Job" (also about cops) before their success with the FX drama "Rescue Me," which centers on firefighters.
Davis (King Hedley II, Intimate Apparel), Koteas (Hot 'n' Throbbing, True West) and Womack (On Golden Pond, currently appearing in Talk Radio) will appear in the cast with James Badge Dale (Burleigh Grime$, "24"), David Call, Dania Ramirez ("X-Men: The Last Stand") and Michael Rispoli ("The Sopranos," Magic Hands Freddy).
