Holland Taylor, last on Broadway opposite Nathan Lane in the 2016 revival of The Front Page, will co-star with Hector Elizondo in Guess Who Died, a comedy series that recently received a pilot production commitment from NBC, according to Deadline.
The single-camera comedy is from Norman Lear (who originally penned the series seven years ago) and Peter Tolan.
Based on the personal experiences of Lear, creator of such landmark TV series as All in the Family, Maude, Good Times, and The Jeffersons, Guess Who Died is set in Palm Springs at the Las Esperanzado Senior Community. The series centers on retired music executive Murray, a widower who falls for his sister-in-law Patricia, a former flight attendant.
Taylor, known for her work on TV's Two and a Half Men, was Tony-nominated for her performance in the solo show Ann.
