"We didn't get the film cast in time for our investors, so they put their money into another project. We have to push until June '15 because it is a summer movie and it can't be shot on the Cape fall/winter," the post reads. "Funds will be available again for next year. On the bright side, more time gives us the 7 P's Proper Planning and Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance. #TMBK #2015"

The film will feature Tveit (Next to Normal, Catch Me If You Can) and McHale ("True Blood," "Boychoir") as men who pretend to be Kennedys in order to attract women and attend parties.

Tveit recently spoke about working on independent films, telling Playbill.com, "It’s kind of a strange thing – you have an amazing time and you shoot these great movies and you don’t know where and when they’re going to pop up when they’re independent. We’re kind of waiting to see. The nice thing with independent films is I got to play these fantastic parts in these movies and get to really dig your teeth and gain some experience working with amazing up-and-coming directors and writers. It’s a really artistically fulfilling experience working on films like that."
