The Prom features a book by Tony Award winner Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone) and four-time Tony nominee Chad Beguelin (Aladdin), music by Tony nominee Matthew Sklar (Elf) and lyrics by Beguelin.
The musical, directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, tells the story of an Indiana high schooler barred from bringing her girlfriend to the prom—and the group of eccentric Broadway folk who infiltrate the town in an earnest, misguided attempt to fight the injustice.
