The Lifespan of a Fact sees three headstrong characters—a writer, an editor, and a fact-checker (played by Bobby Cannavale, Cherry Jones, and Daniel Radcliffe)—locked in a debate about the nature of truth in literary nonfiction.
The play is based on the essay written about the Las Vegas suicide of teenager Levi Presley. Jim Fingal, assigned to fact check the piece, ignited a seven-year debate on the blurred lines of what passes for truth in literary nonfiction.
The Lifespan of a Fact will play a 16-week limited engagement at Studio 54 beginning September 20 prior to an official opening October 18.
