Industry News Special Performance of Carousel to Benefit Actors Fund Proceeds from a newly added May 14 matinee will go to the national human services organization.

The Broadway revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel will host a special Monday matinee performance benefiting The Actors Fund. The newly added performance will take place May 14 at 3 PM, with ticket proceeds going towards the national human services organization that supports performing arts and entertainment professionals.

Carousel is currently playing the Imperial Theatre, where it officially opened April 12. The staging, from Tony winner Jack O’Brien, stars Tony winner Jessie Mueller as Julie Jordan, Tony nominee Joshua Henry as Billy Bigelow, and Grammy-winning opera star Renée Fleming as Nettie Fowler.

The cast also includes Lindsay Mendez as Carrie Pipperidge, Alexander Gemignani as Enoch Snow, Margaret Colin as Mrs. Mullin, and Tony nominee John Douglas Thompson as the Starkeeper.

New York City Ballet’s Justin Peck choreographs the new staging, which also features the company’s Amar Ramasar and Brittany Pollack in the dance-heavy roles of Jigger and Louise.

Rounding out the cast are ensemble members Colin Anderson, Yesenia Ayala, Nicholas Belton, Colin Bradbury, Andrei Chagas, Leigh-Ann Esty, Laura Feig, David Michael Garry, Garett Hawe, Rosena M. Hill Jackson, Amy Justman, Jess LeProtto, Skye Mattox, Kelly McCormick, Anna Noble, Adriana Pierce, Rebecca Pitcher, David Prottas, Craig Salstein, Ahmad Simmons, Antoine L. Smith, Corey John Snide, Erica Spyres, Ryan Steele, Sam Strasfeld, Halli Toland, Ricky Ubeda, Scarlett Walker, Jacob Keith Watson, and William Youmans.

The Scott Rudin production features a creative team made up of four-time Tony Award winner Santo Loquasto (scenic design), Tony and Academy Award winner Ann Roth (costume design), five-time Tony Award winner Brian MacDevitt (lighting design), Tony Award winner Scott Lehrer (sound design), Tony, Grammy, Emmy, and Academy Award winner Jonathan Tunick (orchestrations), and Andy Einhorn (musical supervision, direction, and vocal Arrangements.)
