Michael Greif (Next to Normal, Grey Gardens, Rent) stages the work, which kicked off the acclaimed theatre company's 30th anniversary season Oct. 2. The run is scheduled through Nov. 9.
A 1988 Pulitzer Prize finalist, Boys' Life is billed as "a stinging and candid look at three college buddies (Biggs, Coiro and Scanavino) making their way in the big city," according to a press release. "As they maneuver between life and sex in New York, Korder lacerates the prolonged adolescence that often takes the place of modern manhood."
Biggs ("My Best Friend's Girl," The Graduate), Coiro ("Entourage," Dinner at Eight) and Scanavino (Shining City, Second Stage's suburbia) are joined in the cast by Dan Colman (NYSF's Romeo and Juliet), Michelle Federer (Wicked), Betty Gilpin (Good Boys and True), Paloma Guzmán ("Gossip Girl"), Laura-Leigh (Tell Out My Soul) and Stephanie March (Talk Radio, "Law & Order: SVU").
The design team features Mark Wendland (scenic), Clint Ramos (costume), Kevin Adams (lighting) and Fitz Patton (sound).
Second Stage's season will continue with Gina Gionfriddo's Becky Shaw (Dec. 16-Feb. 1, 2009), Sherie Rene Scott and Dick Scanlan's Everyday Rapture (begins April 7, 2009) and Douglas Carter Beane's Mr. & Mrs. Fitch (to play in summer 2009).
