Judy, the upcoming feature film starring Oscar winner Renée Zellweger as showbiz icon Judy Garland, has been acquired by LD Entertainment and Roadside Attractions, according to The Wrap.
Directed by Tony Award nominee Rupert Goold (King Charles III), the project completed filming two weeks ago. A 2019 release is anticipated.
The film is based on Peter Quilter’s Olivier Award-winning End of the Rainbow, which was seen on Broadway in 2012. Judy has a screenplay by Tom Edge (The Crown).

The fllm also stars Finn Wittrock as Garland’s last husband, Mickie Deans. Also featured are Jessie Buckley and Michael Gambon.
