Broadcast live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., the 8 PM concert is scheduled to feature performances from Tony Award winner Bebe Neuwirth, former "American Idol" contestant Elliott Yamin, Grammy Award winner Yolanda Adams, recording legend Little Richard, country music star Dierks Bentley and actress-singer Hayden Panettiere. The performers will be backed by the National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Erich Kunzel. The Independence Day celebration also boasts a rendition of Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" that features the U.S. Army Herald Trumpets with live cannon fire provided by the United States Army Presidential Salute Battery.

"A Capitol Fourth" airs in the metropolitan area on WNET/Channel 13 from 8-9:30 PM ET; check local listings.
