Broadway's Hunter Foster, Kate Reinders, Malcolm Gets, Adam Heller, Kaitlin Hopkins and Chauntee Schuler star in the production. Christopher Ashley, whose recent directorial credits include the new Broadway musical Xanadu, directs. The musical, according to press notes, is described as such: "Jack is dumped at the altar by Kate, who declares that she will not marry him until she meets his absentee father, Wood. Off they head to Rio, where they find Wood playing house with a friendly bombshell named Volere. Hijinks ensue, with a statue of Christ and a 500 year-old Jewish caveman converging to make miracles happen during a tropical storm on one magical night."
Musical direction for Party Come Here is by Vadim Feichtner, with choreography by Dan Knechteges. Rounding out the creative team are costume designer David Woolard, lighting designer Howell Binkley, scenic designer G.W. Mercier and sound designer Jim van Bergen.
Party Come Here features a book by Daniel Goldfarb (Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me, Modern Orthodox) and music by David Kirshenbaum (Summer of '42, Vanities).
Party Come Here will run through Aug. 5 as part of the Williamstown Theatre Festival. The production will take place at '62 Center for Theatre and Dance of Williams College at 1000 Main Street (Route 2) in Williamstown, MA.
