The Good Chance Theatre, National Theatre, and Young Vic production of The Jungle, which continues a critically acclaimed, sold-out Off-Broadway run at St. Ann's Warehouse, will next premiere on the West Coast in a limited run at San Francisco's Curran. Performances will begin March 26 and continue through May 19.

The Jungle is written by Joe Murphy and Joe Robertson and directed by Stephen Daldry and Justin Martin. The immersive staging, previously seen at the Young Vic and in the West End, invites audiences into the now-closed refugee camp in Calais, France, known as the Jungle—where thousands of refugees from Africa and the Middle East built a society while they waited for their “good chance” passage to Britain.

The majority of the New York cast will transfer with the production when it heads to the Curran, including actors from refugee backgrounds—some of whom came through the real-life Jungle camp. Full casting will be announced later.

The Jungle continues Off-Broadway through January 27. Carole Shorenstein Hays and Sonia Friedman Productions produce with Tom Kirdahy and executive producer David Lan (formerly of the Young Vic).

The creative team includes Miriam Buether (sets), Catherine Kodicek (costumes), Jon Clark (lighting), Paul Arditti (sound), John Pfumojena (original compositions), Duncan McLean and Tristan Shepherd (video design), and Julia Horan CGD (casting).
