Produced by Lakeshore Records, the Cinderella score was recorded in the Philippines at Carmel House Studios. The cast of 26 was accompanied by the studio's in-house orchestra, the FILharminoKA, under the direction of resident conductor Gerard Salonga.
Directed by Bobby Garcia, the touring cast features Salonga as Cinderella with Peter Saide as the Prince, Julia Cook as Stepmother, Jen Bechter as Portia, Brandy Zarle as Joy, Charlie Parker as the Fairy Godmother, Aaron Galligan-Stierle as the Herald, Jefferson Slinkard as the King, Janna Cardia as the Queen, Steve Gagliastro as Chef and Richard Cerato as Steward.
The recording features new renditions of "In My Own Little Corner," "Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful" and "Ten Minutes Ago" as well as several new orchestrations penned by Tony nominee Larry Blank and two songs from the R&H catalogue rarely performed in the stage version: "The Sweetest Sounds" and "There's Music in You."

Finale (Company) Featuring music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics and a book by Oscar Hammerstein II, Cinderella is based on the 1957 television special starring Julie Andrews. Directed by Ralph Nelson, the "Cinderella" TV broadcast originally aired on CBS March 31, 1957. The program drew more than 107 million viewers. The cast featured Andrews as Cinderella, Howard Lindsay as the King, Dorothy Stickney as the Queen, Ilka Chase as the Stepmother, Kaye Ballard and Alice Ghostley as the Stepsisters, Edie Adams as the Fairy Godmother, Jon Cypher as Prince Christopher, Robert Penn as Town Crier, Alexander Clark as the Captain of the Guard, Iggie Wolfington as the Chef and David F. Perkins as the Court Tailor. Lesley Ann Warren (1965) and pop singer Brandy (1997) starred as Cinderella in the subsequent TV versions.
