Goodspeed Musicals will produce a developmental production of Passing Through, a new musical based on the podcast Walking to Listen, a 4,000 Mile Odyssey, which documented Andrew Forsthoeffel’s year-long, cross-country walk from Pennsylvania to California.
Igor Goldin will direct the February 12–15 New York City workshops, which will feature Danny Bevins, Max Chernin, Diana DeGarmo, Stacia Fernandez, Linedy Genao, Mary Gutzi, Adam Heller, Olivia Hernandez, MaryAnn Hu, David Jennings, Kate Shindle, Jim Stanek, and Jennifer Leigh Warren.
Passing Through has music and lyrics by Brett Ryback and a book by Eric Ulloa.
Goodspeed Musicals will stage a full developmental production of Passing Through this summer at the Terris Theatre in Chester, Connecticut, July 26–August 18.
The workshop will have choreography by Marcos Santana, music direction by Matt Meckes, and orchestrations by August Eriksmoen.
