Regional News Hamilton Tour Kicks Off Los Angeles Run August 11 The national tour of Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical will play the Pantages Theatre through the end of the year.

The Hamilton national tour begins performances in Los Angeles August 11. The Hollywood Pantages Theatre engagement will open officially August 16 and run through December 30.

This marks the second stop for the Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical’s first national tour; the road production recently concluded a stint in San Francisco.

The tour currently stars Michael Luwoye as Alexander Hamilton and Tony nominee Joshua Henry as Aaron Burr, with Tony nominee Rory O’Malley as King George, Solea Pfeiffer as Eliza Hamilton, Emmy Raver-Lampman as Angelica Schuyler, Isaiah Johnson as George Washington, Amber Iman as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds, Jordan Donica as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson, Mathenee Treco as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison, and Rubén J. Carbajal as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton.

Rounding out the company are Ryan Alvarado, Raymond Baynard, Dan Belnavis, Amanda Braun, Daniel Ching, Karli Dinardo, Jeffery Duffy, Hope Endrenyi, Jennifer Geller, Jacob Guzman, Julia K. Harriman, Afra Hines, Sabrina Imamura, Lauren Kias, Yvette Lu, Desmond Newson, Desmond Nunn, Eliza Ohman, Josh Andrés Rivera, Willie Smith III, Raven Thomas, Ryan Vasquez, Keenan D. Washington, and Andrew Wojtal.

Lin-Manuel Miranda’s hip-hop telling of the American Founding Father’s life and legacy won eleven Tony Awards in 2016, including Best Musical, Best Score and Book for Miranda, Best Direction for Thomas Kail, Best Choreography for Andy Blankenbuehler, and Best Orchestrations for Alex Lacamoire.

Hamilton continues to play on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre and in Chicago at the PrivateBank Theatre. The London production is set to begin in November, and a second national tour will launch in February 2018 in Seattle.
