The pre-Broadway engagement of Disney’s Frozen musical begins performances at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts’ Buell Theatre August 17.
Entertainment Weekly has a first look at the two Broadway alums as Arendelle’s royal sisters: Caissie Levy (Wicked, Hair) as Elsa and Patti Murin (Lysistrata Jones) as Anna. The photo also offers a look at Jelani Alladin in his Broadway debut as Kristoff and John Riddle (The Visit) as Hans.Performances will run at the Colorado venue through October 1 before heading to Broadway next year. Tony winner Michael Grandage directs the stage adaptation of Disney’s 2013 Oscar-winning animated hit.
Following the Denver engagement, Frozen will play Broadway’s St. James Theatre (which is currently undergoing renovations) beginning February 22, 2018. The show will open officially the following month.
