News Emmy Winner Gregg Marx — of Marx Brothers Family Fame — Opens Cabaret Gig June 16 Gregg Marx, a descendent of the Marx Brothers, has fashioned a new cabaret show that will debut June 16 in Hollywood, California.

Entitled Wet Night...Dry Martini — Love: Shakin'...Stirred...and on the Rocks, the 80-minute evening will be performed at Feinstein's at the Cinegrill, located in the famed Roosevelt Hotel. Marx's program will include songs from an eclectic array of composers and lyricists, including Harold Arlen, John Bucchino, Hoagy Carmichael, Dave Frishberg, George Gershwin, Ken Hirsch, Ray Jessel and Cynthia Thompson, Alan Jay Lerner, Johnny Mercer, Stephen Sondheim and others. Marx, who won an Emmy Award for his work on the CBS serial "As the World Turns," is the grandson of Gummo Marx, who shared the vaudeville stage with his famed brothers. Gummo went on to run the artists agency that represented Groucho, Harpo, Chico and Zeppo. Gregg Marx has also been seen in episodes of "Civil Wars" and "Doogie Howser, M.D." as well as in the NBC mini-series "The Secrets of Lake Success."

Wet Night...Dry Martini — Love: Shakin'...Stirred...and on the Rocks will play Mondays, June 16, 23 and 30 at 8:30 PM. Featuring direction by Kirby Tepper, Marx will be accompanied by Tom Griep on piano, Randy Landis on bass and Jack LeCompte on drums.

The Roosevelt Hotel is located at 7000 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, CA. There is a $20 cover charge, plus a $15 food/drink minimum; call (323) 769 7269 for reservations.
