A cast of Broadway artists has been assembled for Bay Street Theater's upcoming production of William Shakespeare's As You Like It, which will be presented August 8–September 3.

Directed by Tony Award winner John Doyle, the production will feature an original Jazz Era-inspired score penned by Oscar winner Stephen Schwartz. As is tradition with many of Doyle's stagings, members of the cast will also play instruments.

The roster includes Oscar and Tony winner Ellen Burstyn as Jacques, Olivier nominee and The Color Purple alum Kyle Scatliffe as Orlando, and Tony nominee André De Shields as Touchstone.

The company will also feature Hannah Cabell as Rosalind, Quincy Tyler Bernstine as Celia, Noah Brody as Oliver/Corin, Leenya Rideout as Phoebe, Tony nominee Bob Stillman as Duke Frederick/Duke Sr., Cass Morgan as Old Adam/Audrey, and David Samuel as Silvius.

“This cast is a dream come true for Bay Street!” said Artistic Director Scott Schwartz in a statement. “This is the first production of a play by William Shakespeare that Bay Street has ever produced on our Mainstage, and to have so many brilliant and renowned artists breathing new life into this hilarious romantic comedy will surely make As You Like It the ‘must see’ event of the summer here in the Hamptons. I am thrilled to welcome all of them to our stage and to Sag Harbor!”

As You Like It is a co-production with Classic Stage Company in New York City.

Doyle (The Color Purple, Sweeney Todd, Company) will also design the sets; additional creative team members include costume designer Ann Hould-Ward, props designer Andrew Diaz, and sound supervisor Shaughn Bryant. Kat West is the production stage manager. Casting is by Stewart/Whitely.
