Additional casting has been announced for the London company of Sara Bareilles’ Tony-nominated musical Waitress, which begins previews February 8, 2019, prior to an official opening March 7 at the Adelphi Theatre.
Joining the previously announced Katharine McPhee, who will reprise her Broadway work as waitress and expert pie-maker Jenna, will be David Hunter (Kinky Boots, Once) as Dr. Pomatter, Marisha Wallace (Dreamgirls, Broadway's Something Rotten!) as Becky, Laura Baldwin (Big Fish, The Little Beasts) as Dawn, and Peter Hannah (The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart) as Earl.
Waitress was the first Broadway musical to have women in the four top creative team spots: original music and lyrics by Grammy nominee Bareilles, a book by screenwriter Jessie Nelson (I Am Sam), direction by Tony winner Diane Paulus (Pippin, Finding Neverland), and choreography by Lorin Latarro.
