The 73rd annual Tony Awards will take place June 9, 2019, at Radio City Music Hall. As in years past, the ceremony, presented by the American Theatre Wing and Broadway League, will be broadcast live on CBS; the network reached an agreement with the Awards in 2017, ensuring it would be broadcast through 2026.
Broadway productions must open on or before April 25 in order to be considered eligible for the 2019 nominations, which will be announced April 30.
As previously reported, the Tony Awards Administration Committee has added 18 artists and industry leaders to its 48-member Nominating Committee, including Daphne Rubin-Vega, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, Priscilla Lopez, and Pulitzer Prize winner Martyna Majok.
