Olivier winner Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui has boarded the creative team of the Jagged Little Pill musical, the show featuring the music of Alanis Morissette's album of the same name. As previously announced, the production will make its world premiere at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts in spring 2018.

Larbi's work was seen on an international level earlier this year when he choreographed Beyoncé's performance at the 2017 Grammy Awards. In 2014, his show Puz/zle won the Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production; he previously won in 2011 alongside Damien Jalet for Babel (Words). The Belgian-born choreographer also serves as the artistic director of the Royal Ballet of Flanders.

Jagged Little Pill, directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus, will begin performance May 5, 2018; performances are currently scheduled through June 30. The creative team also includes Oscar winner Diablo Cody, who will pen the book, and Tony and Pulitzer winner Tom Kitt, who will provide orchestrations and arrangements.

Morissette co-wrote the 1995 album with Glen Ballard; it won five Grammy Awards out of nine nominations.

While casting for the Cambrdige run has yet to be announced, Tony winner Idina Menzel led a June reading. She is not, however, expected to appear in the A.R.T. run, as she is already scheduled to headline Roundabout Theatre Company's Off-Broadway presentation of Skintight next year.
