In addition to Robbins — who appeared in the Broadway and touring productions of The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, and was Tyne Daly's trusty standby in Gypsy — the JNF will honor former world chess champion Susan Polgar and Nickelodeon Preschool Television's Teri Weiss. Robbins, whose Cy Coleman tribute, One Hell of a Ride!, has been seen in New York and regionally, is still acting in plays and musicals, but she recently added "producer" to her resume — she was an above-the-title producer of Broadway's Little Women. The national tour launches Aug. 30.
The Sept. 26 Jewish National Fund event will include performances by Broadway guests.
