Last night at the Imperial Theatre we saw the Broadway premiere of Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, and how appropriate that both the stars and the audience blazed their brightest at the opening night party!

Phillipa Soo featured a floor-length flowing sheath of claret red lace over a dark silk under gown. Romantic in its silhouette, yet seductive in the colors! A lovely choice!
John Cameron Mitchell came to the night in scruffy, high-style. The distressed leather bomber jacket, simple white shirt, and narrow black tie referenced the very on-trend combination of devil-may-care and nerdy-chic. And those rumpled grey slacks over the scuffed work-boots? Loved it!
Lilli Cooper shone like a comet herself in an ensemble of silvers and sequins. Her charmeuse two-tiered camisole in the palest grey-lavender revealed just the teensiest glimpse of a bare midriff (hot!), and the twinkling graphites in her tea-length skirt topped a fabulous pair of sparkling heels! The flapper necklace wrapped once around her sexy throat and draping to just below the waistline was the very best choice! Thank you, Lilli!

Jesse Tyler Ferguson is a guy who knows his “look.” He always sets off his coloring with the right palette! Last night, he wore a sleek suit in dark Cambridge blue over a dove grey shirt and bowtie. Simple, yes, but oh-so-right! And how do you match your glasses to your clothes? It’s called “style!”
Melanie Moore looked absolutely breathtaking in a midnight blue silk satin gown that was very-much-off-the-shoulder! Its simple architecture, strappy sleevelettes, concealed pockets, asymmetrical hemline, and just the hint of a brilliant red satin lining at the toe showed everyone what “chic” truly means. And that adorable boy-cut and a micro-chain necklace earn her an A+.

Denée Benton! Wow! This is how a leading lady makes a debut on Broadway! Off-stage as well as on! Showing off that fabulous figure in a startling tux-gown. The daring top referenced a traditional ice-white tux vest with shawl lapels, and the black satin slit-up-the-front skirt was almost like a pair of slacks. Walking towards you, she was sexy-as-all-get-out, and walking away? OMG! Congratulations to you, Denée, on so many levels! Mwah! …and congratulations to the whole production! …#andScene!
